Description

The tee is mainly used to change the direction of the fluid and is used at the branch pipe of the main pipeline. Tee is a kind of chemical pipe fitting with three ports, i.e. one inlet and two outlets, or two inlets and one outlet. There are T-shaped and Y-shaped, equal diameter nozzles and reducer nozzles, which are used for the three same or different pipeline convergence. Socket welding tee is a kind of pipe connection mode that the tee is inserted into the embedded wall of the pipe for welding. Relative to butt welding, socket welding is usually used for small diameter pipes of 2 "and below.

Socket welding adopts fillet weld. When high structural strength requirements and high leakage risk are considered in design, socket welded joint is a better choice.

The fatigue strength of socket welded joint is lower than that of butt welded joint because of the sharp change of fillet weld and geometry. However, socket welded joints are still superior to other mechanical joints.

5. There are three pressure classes for socket welded pipe fittings: class3000, 6000 and 9000.
